I teach kindergarten in an inner-city school in Michigan, where 100% of our students qualify for free lunch. The majority of our students come to us below grade level and have little academic support at home due to the life circumstances of their families.
My students are amazing and deserve to have as many amazing opportunities to grow and learn as possible.
They are eager to learn but are in need of a lot of additional support in all subject areas in order for them to be successful in their future endeavors. Your donations to our projects help us to make that happen for the students that we are blessed to serve. I strive to go above and beyond for my kindergartners so that they have an amazing kindergarten experience which prepares them for bright and successful futures!
My students and I would love the addition of a Circut Machine in our classroom. This addition will help bring fun into all academic subjects! The Circut can be used to cut out shapes, letters, and pictures. We can use it in a writing center to to create cards for friends and family as well as to create stories. Students will be inspired to write more was we will be able to create and cut out a variety of shapes and letters to help with our pictures in our stories. Students will bed inspired to write stories and books as well.
In math a Cricut machine can be used to create counters for counting, adding and subtracting as well as patterning.
I will also be able to create many fun and engaging math center materials using this machine.
In reading, a Cricut machine can be used to create flashcards, felt story pieces, and many other engaging center activities to get students excited about learning.
The machine can be used for science and social studies as well for making pieces for posters, anchor charts, and student projects.
