Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every day, my students start with a writing journal. These journals have proven year after year to help my students express their thoughts and emotions in a healthy way. The half-composition books and pencils will give us all we need to get our journals done each day.
Throughout the school year, along with their reading and writing assignments, I like to assign more creative projects to let them express their talents in a different way.
These projects have proven to be fun and engaging for all of my students! You wouldn't believe how talented my students are! They have a lot of life experience (good and bad) that they express in their creative assignments. Not only are they great readers and writers, but they are also amazing artists!
These projects often require a lot of colorful art supplies. 6 classes x30 students/class= A LOT of supplies needed! I teach at a low-income school, so supplies aren't super easy to come by. With the supplies in my basket, I truly believe my class will be better prepared for the next group of students! Please help me stock up for these amazing students!
