Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how curious, talkative, and eager to learn my third-grade students are. They thrive when they feel safe, comfortable, and connected to one another. My students love coming together for read-alouds, class discussions, and lessons where they can share ideas and learn from their peers.

This classroom rug will provide a dedicated space where students can gather for whole-group instruction, literacy lessons, and community-building activities.

Having a structured carpet area helps students focus, listen attentively, and engage respectfully with their classmates. It also supports positive behavior by giving students clear expectations for where and how to sit during lessons.

The rug will be used daily during reading instruction, morning meetings, and social-emotional learning activities. By creating a welcoming and organized learning space, this resource will help my students feel a sense of belonging and set them up for academic and social success.
