My Project
Next year, I’ll be teaching my first class! A group of curious and energetic 5th graders. One of my goals is to create a safe and inviting classroom environment for my students to feel safe, focused, and ready to learn. Many students live in a very urban area, so it is important to me to bring elements of nature to our classroom. To support this goal, I’m hoping to add a large green leafy classroom rug to our space.
This rug will provide a soft, calming area where we can gather for read-alouds, class meetings, centers rotations, and independent learning time.
The natural green design will bring a peaceful touch of the outdoors inside and help students feel grounded and focused during the school day.
Creating a comfortable and flexible learning environment is key for building community, encouraging collaboration, and supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth. Your support will help turn our classroom into a welcoming space where every child feels at home and ready to thrive!
