This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sensory items are an important addition to a modern classroom, especially for special needs students. I want to provide a variety of materials that will allow for several alternative options. A recent academic paper states that "studies suggest that children who participate in short bouts of physical activity within the classroom have more on-task behavior."

Additionally, my students have a variety of different sensory needs, that require multiple sensory outlets to be available within reach.

We're looking for very fun options that allow students wiggle and fidget while they work!
