My Project

In our early childhood special education classroom, the library center is a place where learning feels safe, calm, and joyful. Many of my students benefit from flexible seating and clearly defined spaces that support focus and regulation. This comfy storage bench with built-in book storage will create an inviting reading area where students can independently choose books, sit comfortably, and engage with stories at their own pace.

A welcoming library space helps turn early readers into confident, curious learners.

By combining seating and book storage in one developmentally appropriate piece, this bench will encourage independence, support sustained attention, and make books more accessible for all learners. Students will use this space during center time, small groups, and quiet moments throughout the day to build vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills in a calm, structured environment designed just for them.
