My students are amazing little ones with an ongoing love of learning! These kids come from all different backgrounds. They each have unique abilities and challenges. But they're all so special and genuinely good children. They are becoming independent individuals. When they work on assignments, they need more than a desk to choose from. They need flexible seating to be successful! They do not want to waste a minute of our time. They are continually challenging themselves. I am so proud of them!

Flexible seating allows students to work where they feel is best.
Flexible seating also allows ALL students to be able to learn, including those with special needs.
It provides opportunities for individual decision making and also for learning where they learn best. This seating will provide children with comfortable places to read a book which will make learning to read so much more enjoyable! First grade is the beginning of fluent reading for many kids. Fluent reading requires a lot of practice! These awesome floor seats will motivate students to work on reading everyday in my class. They are light enough that students can move them around the classroom to wherever seems like a nice quiet spot. Having only a few of them provide students with the learned knowledge of sharing.
I am asking for a variety of seating options. I would love to have to comfy seats, that look like chairs without legs. These will allow for a nice place to read and provide support for their backs. I would also love to have a wobble chair and wobble cushion. This provides energy release for any kid, but specifically helps student with ADD/ADHD. Finally, I would love to have two student lap desks, allowing them to work on the floor easily instead of their desks.
