My students need a new clean cozy carpet for lessons, reading, working, and creating! My students also need Lego blocks to add to our STEAM materials where they will be used for math and engineering activities.
I am a 2nd grade special education self-contained teacher. The children in my class have a wide range of academic and behavioral needs. Having the materials needed, and a comfortable place to learn are key to providing the best school experience possible.
The children in my class are kind, caring, hard working, and very motivated to learn through hands-on experiences that STEAM lessons provide and deserve a cozy carpet area to work from throughout the day.
Additionally, the children in my room need a clean, comfortable carpet area to engage in a variety of lessons and activities throughout the day.
My Project
Having a cozy carpet area, and materials for STEAM activities will make a huge difference in my students' engagement and learning experience in my classroom.
The children need a nice, clean, cozy carpet as a space they can use for lessons, listening to stories, independent reading, a flexible seating area, and many other activities.
My students also need Lego blocks as a material to use for our STEM/STEAM lessons and activities. The children would love the opportunity and option to use Lego blocks to complete math and engineering activities throughout the day in our classroom. Legos are the perfect material for students in my special education class to use to practice fine-motor skills while being creative and problem-solvers.
