My Project
Dear Donors,
In my social work classroom at R.P.1 Elementary, students come seeking support, a break from challenges, and a safe space to process their emotions.
To help them feel more at ease, I am creating a Calming Corner—a dedicated space where students can relax, self-regulate, and find comfort in a welcoming environment.
To make this space truly inviting, I am requesting bean bags, twinkle lights, and artificial plants to create a cozy, soothing atmosphere. These small additions will make a big difference in helping students feel safe and supported as they work through emotions, practice mindfulness, or take a much-needed break.
With your support, this Calming Corner will:
- Provide a safe, cozy space where students can de-stress and reset.
- Encourage self-regulation with a peaceful atmosphere that promotes emotional well-being.
- Make therapy and after-school club meetings more inviting by creating a comfortable, welcoming environment.
