A Cozier Digital Classroom

My students need 6 bean bag chairs to work on their chromebooks, a chromebook, a Literature book and colorful paper to print projects!

My Students

Each day, I see two classes of students. With both classes, we engage in Reader's Workshop. The rainy days are the best, students cozy up with their books and lay and read all over the place! What a sight! I want to cozy it up some more and make their reading experience more comfy and productive!

We love that we are now 1:1 with our chromebooks!

My students are quickly learning and delving into technology! They are also at the age where they need their space as they gain independence as learners. We are a Title I school and rely partially on grants like these to help supply the "extras" for us! We would like to be able to spread out and not be cramped when we are reading and typing! That's why I am requesting bean bag chairs, an additional chromebook, and colorful paper to brighten the room. Lastly, I have requested a wonderful book for teachers that assist in our lesson planning. Right now, our grade level shares one. So a second copy would be super!

My Project

My students will be able to work in pairs, groups, and independently in cozy spots that still give them ample space to work! The yoga balls and seats I do have are at a premium, so having more will allow more students to enjoy them at once and make it significantly easier to be more equitable in their distribution! It will also motivate my students to stay on task in order to earn the privilege of sitting in a "special seat"!

Donating to this project will be great incentive to increase my classes accountability in order to be productive in our new chairs!

They have already learned how to treat our technology, now they are ready to get comfy with it!
