A Cool Down Corner

My Project

I am currently a teacher at a middle school. Our students struggle with many disabilities and have difficulty managing emotions in times of crisis. The material I am requesting is to create a calm down corner in our dean's office. This space is to help the students manage their emotions and practice their different coping strategies.

The goal for this project is to create a space for the students to feel safe and comfortable when they are at their most vulnerable.

This space will have many different sensory items that students can choose from to assist them in managing their emotions.
