Because of you, my students now have access to a double-sided magnetic mobile whiteboard along with a jumbo magnetic ten-frame set and giant magnetic numbers. These tools have significantly enhanced how math is taught and learned in our classroom by allowing concepts to be modeled in a clear, visual, and interactive way.\r\nWith these resources, students are able to build numbers, represent quantities, and solve equations directly on the board using ten frames and magnetic numbers. This hands-on and visual approach has been especially beneficial for students who struggle with abstract math concepts. They are now able to see their thinking, explain their reasoning, and actively participate in solving problems, which has led to increased confidence and engagement during math lessons.\r\nYour generosity has created meaningful learning opportunities and has helped make math more accessible for all students. Thank you for investing in their academic growth and for supporting a classroom environment where students can learn, collaborate, and succeed. We are truly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1762149966065,"projectUrl":"project/magnetic-math-magic/9844004/","projectTitle":"Magnetic Math Magic","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Alexis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8341986_orig.jpg?crop=674,674,x95,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695458204502","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8341986"},{"teacherId":8341986,"projectId":7883723,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support of my classroom through the donation of four Samsung Chromebooks. Although this project was funded a few years ago, these devices continue to play an essential role in my students' daily learning. The Chromebooks have provided students with consistent access to digital tools that support math instruction, research, assessments, and skill-building activities.\r\nBecause of these devices, students have been able to engage in online math programs, complete assignments independently, and demonstrate their understanding in multiple ways. The Chromebooks have been especially impactful for students who benefit from interactive and visual learning, as well as those who require accommodations such as digital organizers, calculators, or read-aloud features. Having reliable technology in the classroom has helped close learning gaps and increased student engagement and accountability.\r\nYour generosity has created a lasting impact that extends far beyond the initial project. These Chromebooks continue to support student learning year after year, and my students and I are incredibly grateful for your investment in public education and classroom equity.","fullyFundedDate":1695920557355,"projectUrl":"project/math-and-success-add-up/7883723/","projectTitle":"Math and Success Add Up","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Alexis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8341986_orig.jpg?crop=674,674,x95,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695458204502","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8341986"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_806","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":246,"numTeachers":57,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":58,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":32,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":"4.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.9,"schoolId":806,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 140K on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 140K","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-140k/806"}
