My Students

Our high school is a college-preparatory school that seeks to develop the deeper character and unique potential of each student.

Not only do our graduates leave with the academic tools to succeed in college, but they leave with a new sense of self that drives them to be their best.

In order to draw out true leadership, students are challenged with new experiences. In addition, a social justice theme is infused throughout our entire curriculum. We are committed to developing individuals who will become agents of positive social change and who will actively create a more equitable society.

Our most recent graduating class, the Class of 2020 has the highest percentage of advanced regents recipients of any other class at our school. Class of 2020 also includes a Posse Scholar, several AP scholars, and students who've worked to earn full scholarships toward college!

My Project

The senior students that I teach are always worried about going off to college and the food being horrible - those of us who've been to college know that is a very real fear. So, each year I teach a cooking class with some basic recipes students can make in their dorm rooms using microwaves.

This has never been enough for my curious, hungry students.

They want more! They've asked to expand this one week of classes into a club and I want to give that to them - with your help of course!

Please allow me to teach the after school cooking club my students have been asking for. This will set my seniors' minds at ease so they know how to cook for themselves and won't have to rely on the college cafeteria.
