it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Music classroom is a challenged and fun place to be. This year, I started in a new school, where I teach all elementary students and Middle school choir. My students are so exited to come to music every week to enjoy the class and playing instruments since they were limited from this privilege for many years ago along with show performances.
My students are clever, passionate, hopeful, and creative!
As a new music teacher in this school, I am having the great pleasure of introducing my students to a new experience. They get to play instruments they have not seen before and enjoy from a different environment that has been a little difficult due to the space in my classroom. We have some limited chairs in the school and the best idea I came up with is to cover my floor with a gigantic music rug. They will feel the positive environment of the classroom and be confortable seated on the floor playing different instruments like ukuleles, xylophones, percussion instruments, playing games, and many more.
My Project
In my music classroom, my students get to move and go around different earning settings;therefore, providing a confortable seating setting is very important for my students. every grade level get to seat down on the floor to accomplish different music activities.
My students will appreciate having a rug that covers most of the classroom to play and have fun in a confortable way.
For instances, my second grade play Orff instruments, in which each of them requires to be seated on the floor. My third graders play the recorder, fourth graders the ukuleles and fifth graders learn a little bit of everything. It is really heart breaking seeing my students on the cold floor and not having the option to give them a warm and confortable learning environment.
