My Project
Do you remember what it was like to be in school? Were you bored out of your mind every day? Well, as a teacher, I'm highly aware that my scholars have to sit in class each day & complete the most tedious assignments. And while school may always include assignments, I want to do my part by making learning appealing and enjoyable.
Today I am requesting a classroom computer and a book full of engaging graphic organizers so I can bring joy back into the classroom.
We all know that it can't be easy to sit at a desk all day & listen to others speak. My goal for this project is to use programs like Pear Deck and Kahoot to engage students and get them to want to learn. Also, having a computer in the classroom will allow me to print out visually appealing materials. In addition, the graphic organizers will allow me to cater to different types of learners--This includes my students who are learning English.
In working with my group of students this year, I noticed that they respond well to competition and respond even better to visuals. I know that if I am granted this opportunity and receive both the computer and the book of graphic organizers, this will make a difference in the way my students show up to get their education.
