My students need a digital classroom, where they can access online content and print their work easily with Chromebooks and a printer.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students love to participate, learn and experiment. They come from a low-income under-served part of Los Angeles. 93% of my students qualify for free or reduced price lunch. The school is predominantly Latino, with a smaller population of African American and Filipino students.
My students love to learn by doing.
They make hypotheses and connections, do experiments and report back on the results. They understand the engineering cycle, and they work hard to continuously improve their results.
Most of all, my students are hard workers. They always impress me by how resourceful they are. They know that college and career readiness are their goals, and they are ready to change the odds in the inner city.
My Project
I have been informed that next year, my school was able to purchase a cart of Chromebooks for my classroom. That means that for most of my classes, my students will be one-to-one with Chromebooks. However, one of my classes next year is going to have 44 students (quite a large number) which is more students than there are Chromebooks in that cart.
I need your help to complete our set and make our classroom a truly digital classroom.
With your contribution, we will purchase 5 additional Chromebooks to make sure we can go one-to-one even in the largest class. In addition, with your contribution, we will purchase a laser printer that is Google cloud-print ready, so that students can print directly from their Chromebooks.
These Chromebooks will help them access the online course material as well as being a valuable resource for teaching coding to my elective class.
