My Students

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my classroom! I teach Kindergarten in a high poverty area (100% free breakfast and 75% free lunch) and most of my students have never even been to preschool. With budget cuts, we don't have the money to buy the resources that young children need to make learning fun. I want to give my students the resources they need to become successful, independent learners.

My students are so excited about school, and I want to give them every resource possible to foster their love of learning.

Though they may face challenges at home, they come in every day smiling and ready to learn. Please help us reach our goal! Thank you for your time and support!

My Project

My kindergarten students love to read, but we need a comfortable, inviting area to practice literacy skills and enjoy a good book! Some cushioned pillows and scoop rocking chairs would give us a cozy place to read and listen to audio books. Colorful book bins would help organize our library books, books on CDs, and leveled readers. My kindergarten kiddos have worked so hard all year long learning how to read and I would love to give them their own little place to read and listen to books on CDs and iPads. Thank you for your consideration of my project!
