Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Working at a Title l school means each one of my students receives free breakfast and lunch. As a school that serves nearly 1,000 students, my students come from a variety of family dynamics, races, backgrounds, and cultures. With a thirst for knowledge and eagerness in their eyes, my students always want to learn as much as they can. Each one of my students demonstrates not only a joy for learning, but a passion to become someone who they are proud to be. Many of my students do not have the ability at home or in their own community to access books and other resources to help them throughout their journey into being successful individuals.
My role as an educator is not only to continue the spark for their learning, but to provide them with every opportunity to succeed.
Each with their own longing for learning, getting their hands on as different resources is my number one mission. For many of my students, our classroom is our home and one of the safest places they have.
My Project
With a new year of restrictions and limits, a students first year of school should always be exciting, safe, and comfortable. Through the use of these comfy and moveable seating options, students will be given flexible seating that they will be able to use both inside and outside the classroom while following the guidelines of safety and spacial awareness that are required. Each student will have their own space for learning and be given the choice for where they want to learn about the world around them. This will help create a variety of areas for students to choose, in addition to following safety producers and rules that are now apart of their daily routine.
