My Students

My class is full of unique and awesome individuals. They never cease to amaze me with their talents and skills. Every day is a new adventure that I love to take with them!

Our students are successful!

Our school score for the state of Wisconsin Exceeds Expectations! Even though about 50% of our students are low income families this does not stop them from being successful. We strive to do what is best for the students and provide them with a great education.

My Project

What if you can't sit still or focus on the teacher for more than a few seconds? What if you are stressed out or angry? I've been teaching for 25 years and the last few years I have seen many children with these challenges. It is my goal to educate these children in the best way! My current beanbags are almost 10 years old and there are more beans on the floor than in the bags!

Children need a comfortable spot that allows them to move and get the wiggles out!

Unfortunately, curriculum demands have put more pressure on the students and less time to play! This stress makes it difficult for them to learn.

My project includes 2 bean bags, 3 laptop tables for the floor, and 2 wiggle seats. These items will be extremely helpful in allowing students to pick a spot that works for them and their learning.

Along with difficulties in attending some students struggle with anxiety or strong emotions. I would like to add a weighted stuffed animal to the class that adds sensory input to the children and helps them calm down.
