This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are in school for the very first time ever! This is the year where the love of school, learning, and friendship begin for each one of our students. We have had the greatest start to our school year and we are hoping to end it the same way!

Our class is filled with 18 students who LOVE learning, trying new things, and exploring!

Our carpet time is our favorite time that we share together. We gather on our carpet to start our day and build community. We gather on our carpet to learn our letters and numbers. We gather on our carpet to sing Happy Birthday and do silly dances!

Unfortunately, our carpet has seen better days and can use an upgrade! We are hoping to change our few-year-old rugs to something more comfortable and fit ALL students so that we can gather together. If you can help at all, I know that 18 little learners would be extremely excited!
