A Comfy Corner to Calm!

Help me give my students a comfortable and safe space to express their emotions with a large bean bag chair and plenty of fidgets to utilize when overwhelmed.

My Project

My goal is to give my students a comfortable and safe environment to come talk and express their emotions. I am a 1st year School Social Worker and my allotted budget is small, not allowing for all the supplies that my student could utilize without having to spend my own money.

I work with Pre-K through 2nd grade students who have grown up in the Covid pandemic and are facing the negative social and emotional effects of this, which will continue to affect them if early intervention is not implemented.

The supplies that I am requesting will allow them to learn through social emotional learning including supplies for crafts, interactive activities, and emotional regulation. They will have a comfy space to come work on mastering their IEP goals, talk about their emotions, and discuss hard things.

Most importantly, these supplies will allow me to be confident in the quality of services that I am giving my students on a daily basis.
