My Students

I have a classroom full of twenty-two, energetic kindergarteners. My students are wonderful and eager to learn. They come from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Our classroom is designed in a way to allow each child to learn in a way that works best for him/her. We use many different styles of learning to help best meet the needs of this diverse group.

Our classroom does hinder learning at times, due to the basic seating.

Flexible seating would allow my students to be able to focus their attention and be successful in their learning.

My Project

Having flexible seating in my classroom will allow students to choose where they would like to sit to be able to focus and learn to the best of their ability.

Balance balls are a good way for five year olds to have to concentrate on what they are doing and how they are sitting.

This will help them focus on what they are learning and will help them be successful in kindergarten.

These balance balls will be one choice of many that my students can pick each day. They will learn to choose what helps them learn the best in our classroom.

The surf desk will also allow students to choose to sit on the floor where some find it more comfortable to learn.
