My students need these to make the room more comfortable. The string lights will help with not being so bright and intense! All to be easier to focus and work!
While our school is one of three high schools in our district we have a lot of kids who cannot afford simple school supplies. My school is a 9th through 12th grade high school that is moving to the Ford Next Generation Academies.
The majority of our students are low socioeconomic class and have single parents homes or homes where both parents and, sometimes the students work to help make ends meet.
The kids push themselves to do their best, and sometimes they are starting without anything. A lot of the families struggle to provide basic school supplies for this students. And many of our students look forward to coming to school, as it is a constant place for them to be a kid and not have to do extra roles that children should not have to worry about.
My Project
The students have asked that we make the room more comfortable and cozy. So many students hate the fluorescent lights as they are so bright. The students are always asking that we turn them off, so the strings lights across the ceiling would be a great way to get some secondary lighting that is more comfortable.
The essential oils diffuser would be amazing to have as there have been proof that essential oils help prevent illnesses and help with anxiety.
So many students struggle with anxiety that the oils will help with their classwork and can assist in their overall health.
