This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At my school, we focus on creating safe and loving relationships with our students as they walk through various experiences in life. We live in a highly diverse demographic of students with English Language Learners from Mexico, Guatemala, Africa, Indonesia, etc. We have students coming from homes where they do not have adequate housing and some do not know where they will their next meals. We also have a rate of 87% of our students on free and reduced lunches each year. We are a group of hard-working and loving teachers who absolutely admire what we get to do for this population we are surrounded by and we would feel so blessed if you or anyone you know would be willing to donate to our school.
