Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we begin a brand-new school year sooon, I’m excited to help my first-grade students dive into creativity with fresh, updated art supplies! In our classroom, art is more than just fun—it's a powerful tool for expression, problem-solving, and building confidence. My students are curious, imaginative, and full of ideas, and they thrive when given the chance to explore materials that help bring those ideas to life.
With your support, we’ll receive a wide variety of essential supplies including crayons, twistable crayons, watercolor books, markers, paintbrushes, glue sticks, scissors, and erasers.
These basics will allow students to draw, paint, cut, and glue with ease. We’ll also get unique and engaging materials like blank puzzles for students to design, glow-in-the-dark suncatchers, and colorful masking tape to bring classroom projects to life.
A paper cutter and cordless hot glue gun will help prep materials efficiently, so more time can be spent engaging students in hands-on learning. And, of course, we’re also stocking up on cleaning tools like Magic Erasers to keep our art center tidy after all that creative fun.
These supplies will fuel countless learning moments across the year—from science and social studies projects to social-emotional lessons that let students express their feelings through color and design. Thank you for helping us start the year with the tools we need to create, explore, and grow!
