A Colorful Classroom Rug For Kindergarten!
My students need a rug with individual squares that will help them with their personal space and give them a special spot to sit during whole group learning on the rug!
Do you remember being a Kindergartener gathering on a special rug for story time or having your own personal spot on the colorful rug where you could sit comfortably and learn? My Kindergarten class would love to be able to sit comfortably on a new colorful rug.
I have 21 outgoing All-Day Kindergarteners who love to learn!
Every day, my Kindergarteners come with a smile on their face and are excited to learn and grow! Our school is a Title 1 School in Washington State. Most of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many of my students did not have the opportunity to attend preschool so this is their first time in a school setting. I have a wide range of learners. Many of my students are also learning English.
The classroom rug will provide individual squares for my students to sit on. This way every student will have their own special spot on the rug for them to sit and learn comfortably. A classroom rug that has a special spot for every Kindergartner will be a great classroom management tool. This rug will be used numerous times throughout the day for our morning routines, reading time, whole group instruction and centers. This rug will also help my students come together as a community of learners.
I believe this rug will help my students increase their learning when we are on the floor.
Not only will it help with classroom management and personal space, it will help the Kindergarteners focus on the material that is being taught. A classroom rug will help build the small community in my classroom and will make our rug time an enjoyable learning experience!
