My Project
I’m an upcoming first-year teacher, freshly graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with my Master of Arts in Teaching. Over the past year, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to student teach in a kindergarten classroom, where I witnessed firsthand how essential a vibrant, comfortable carpet is to student learning.
The carpet isn’t just a place to sit.
It’s a versatile learning space where students gather for storytime, small group activities, collaborative work, and movement-based lessons. It creates a cozy, welcoming environment that helps young learners focus, engage, and build community.
As a new teacher just starting out, I’m working hard to create a classroom filled with the tools and resources my students need to thrive. A bright, inviting carpet would give my students a special spot to learn and grow together, making a big impact on their daily experience.
