Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our Title I STEAM and Social Justice magnet emphasizes the respect of self and others. Our pedagogy includes discipline and high expectations, as well as activism and compassion. Our African-American students share the school with Latino and Asian kids. This mix offers unlimited opportunities to learn tolerance and teamwork while discovering new perspectives.
Students are not only trained to solve problems but also to focus how their solutions affect the environment and all members of society, here and abroad.
However, our school and our families can't afford the additional resources we need to support independent learning and significantly improve student achievement. Thank you for helping our kids become successful, responsible, and productive citizens!
My Project
I want to thank you in advance for offering my fourth grade students a new electrical pencil sharpener and a new rug where they could gather to collaborate. The kids would also uses the latter when I call them to follow something on our white board. A clean new rug would definitely be more appealing and engaging than my old torn one I had for years. It always motivates the class to work when the area is colorful! The new pencil sharpener would help my pencil monitors be more efficient when they prepare the class supplies; fast and effective!
