My Project

My students are amazing sponges. They have such a great capacity for learning. I teach pre-kindergarten at an English-Chinese dual language school on the boundary of Chinatown. Our school is located in an area adjacent to public housing developments and old tenement buildings that have housed generations of new immigrants. The vast majority of my students begin the school year speaking only Chinese or only English. Over the course of the school year, they will become fluent in both languages.

Our classroom is in need of a new printer so that I can create colorful visual aids that will make it easier for my students to learn all the amazing skills they will acquire by the end of this school year.

The printer in my classroom is older than my students. It is 10 years old and it no longer works. Your support in helping us acquire a replacement is very much appreciated.
