This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is full of bright, creative students from many different cultures and backgrounds. With your support, I hope to bring in multicultural art materials like colored pencils and handprints in a wide range of skin tones, so students can express who they are and celebrate each other through meaningful art projects.
These materials will be used to support hands-on activities like: self-portraits using skin-tone crayons and paper, helping students accurately and proudly represent themselves.
Additionally, these materials will help with Cultural celebration crafts, where students create art inspired by traditions, patterns, or symbols from around the world. In addition, I am asking for pencil holders to ensure our pencils in 1st grade don't get lost!
With your help, we can provide the materials needed to make every child feel like they belong. Thank you for helping us build a classroom where all students can shine through creativity!
