A Clock in Kindergarten

My Project

My kindergarten students are interested in learning about the world beyond their own neighborhood. Many of my students are first-generation English speakers who serve as interpreters for their families and other students in our school. My students face a variety of challenges beyond the classroom, such as transportation, housing, clothing, and food insecurities. Despite these challenges, my students are excited to learn and grow each day. I love teaching and I am excited to go to school every day! We are a class family where my students care for each other. I have always said that I am on a mission field in my classroom, and I know I am making a difference one child at a time.

I want to give my students a new clock to help my students learn how to tell time.

This teaching tool will help my students develop important social skills as they learn this important concept with their classmates! My students will learn to tell time easier by learning how to view time on a number line before putting the line on the clock. This can be worked on by kids independently! This resource will be used in our daily center rotations and whole group instruction in the classroom.
