This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My seventh and eighth grade students come to school carrying piles of stress and the impact of tragedies on their shoulders. They face more troubles in their short lives than I would hope to face in a lifetime. Yet, despite their hardships, they continue to amaze me.
My students attend school in a building that is over 100 years old with a lack of resources, yet they harness the potential to change the world.
They just need access to resources to reach and realize their full potential. Now that is where amazing people like you come in.
My Project
It’s strange to think that our school year has ended already due to COVID 19. The way educators have to teach and students have to learn has evolved and is changing day to day to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
However, when they return to my classroom in the fall, I want them to feel safe and welcomed.
We will use the hand sanitizer to rid our hands of germs. We use the wipes to clean commonly used areas. We will use the tissues to wipe our runny noses. And we will use the room spray to make our room more inviting and refreshed.
