My Project
Children spend over 30 hours a week at school. It's like a second home and, for many, it is the most stable thing in their lives. I want to create the perfect classroom for my kindergarten students, one that is safe, warm, and nurturing.
Research has shown that a neutral and muted color palette creates a calm space for students to thrive.
My goal is to create this type of classroom in order to optimize student growth, both academically and emotionally. This project is just a portion of my overall vision, and includes the materials I will need to create hand-made alphabet cards, number lines, desk name plates, labels for center bins and cubbies, etc.
