This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am in need of a rug for my students! Having the students on the floor close to me and the board increases focuses and collaboration. The floor is used during direct instruction, read alouds, group work, and small groups. My students also use the floor as flexible seating as individuals and allows me to pull students to the floor in small groups. A carpet would allow for a more comfortable area for my students to focus and give precise spots to my students.
A rug will allow students to be more comfortable so that they will be more focused, whether that be during a lesson, independent reading time, small group time, and more!
Please help make our classroom more of a home for my 3rd graders. We would be so grateful for your help!
