This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am in the process of establishing a library within my classroom to promote diversity, understanding, and acceptance among my students. In order to so, I need resources that will provide a safe space for students to explore and learn about the LGBTQ+ community, its history, and its contributions to society.

We have a need for LGBTQ+ materials in the classroom.

This will support a safe place for students not only in my classroom but throughout the school. I want to create a space where students feel seen and valued.
