My Students
My students are amazing little humans that love to learn! I can't express how much I love to see them growing each and every day! However, all of them come from low-income areas and most don't get any academic support at home. Their parents have to work long hours to make ends meet.
I would love them to have as many resources as possible during the time they are at school.
They enjoy reading books, especially books that have characters who represent themselves!
My Project
My ELL students are eager for knowledge. They always enjoy their free reading time at the classroom library. They see themselves in the books they read. They grow and shape their personal perspectives through the lens of books! I would love to include more books on topics like diversity, inclusion, resilience, and growth mindset for this coming school year.
These books that I chose for my classroom library will help my students in their social-emotional development, which is extremely important for their first time coming back to school in person since the pandemic!
