My Students

My students are very enthusiastic about learning social studies! They are interested in a more hands-on approach to understanding course material and learning to their fullest when they are involved in a project that has to do with the lesson.

My Project

The furniture and posters will make a difference in my students' learning by opening their minds up to new cultures and experiences. Studies have shown and suggested in their research that when students feel represented in their classroom they are more likely to be open to learning, participating in the classroom, and have a better relationship with their teacher. I am a new teacher and my classroom is still barren, so displaying posters in the classroom that represent my students opens the classroom up to us talking about different cultures and why America is a positive melting pot country.
