it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their eagerness to learn and their genuine excitement to come to school each day. A classroom easel plays a crucial role in supporting this enthusiasm by serving as a central tool for daily instruction. It allows me to provide guided, explicit teaching in a clear and engaging way.
An easel is a central learning tool that no first-grade classroom can do without, as it creates a dedicated space where key concepts are introduced, modeled, and reinforced.
More importantly, it gives students the opportunity to take ownership of their learning. By coming up to the easel, they can demonstrate their understanding and model the skills we’re working on. This active participation not only reinforces the lesson objective but also builds confidence and deeper comprehension.
My goal is to always have this crucial tool available in my classroom - an easel that provides students with access to high-quality instruction. It supports both explicit teaching and inquiry-based learning while offering students a space to engage actively and visibly demonstrate what they’ve learned.
