A Chromebook & Google for a 21st Century Learning
Help me give my students access the Google during class using the HP Chromebook I have requested. Students will open a Google account, so that they will be able to collaborate on projects in class.
I teach in a California School District in a Title I school in which most students are on free/reduced lunch. Many of my students are identified gifted or identified in other special needs categories and come to school without access to a computer at home. They are all hard working students who just need a leg up at school in the technology area.
As our world becomes more digital and technology-centered, creating learning opportunities that develop real world skills is expensive for schools to fund.
Using the Chromebook, students will be able to save group projects by using Google Drive. Many of my students do not have any way to work together by accessing digital resources we use in class that are not made available to students by our district.
Our curriculum contains digital textbook resources that are not available to many students at home or in class.
This Chromebook would make collaborative projects fun and give students a venue that provides a new way to communicate with one another while automatically saving their valuable work.
Please help my students succeed and thrive in our digital world.
