Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a low-income area with limited technology resources in the home for many of the students.

My students are eager to learn and love technology in the process.

The school is a close family with many students growing up there as it is a K-12 school. It is a warm place with lots of energy. This Chromebook will allow me to provide them with a little more movement in their learning.

My Project

The main purpose of the Chromebook is to allow me to move about the room while doing certain lessons using technology. With the Chromebook and my projector I can give lessons without having to always sit behind my desk. Also, I want to create small groups in different areas of the class with certain students at different times using the Chromebook for Khan Academy lessons. A setup that is not feasible in the crowded computer area.

In most, if not all, of my classes there are those students who need a little extra help, or who are more advanced in their learning.

Being able to pull those few aside either for furthering their learning through the use of the Chromebook or filling in where the missing parts are in the math, I can create a more individualized learning experience in smaller groups and stations.
