Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school holds a unique and diverse population of students in a Spanish-English bilingual program. Students are able to learn and thrive academically, while simultaneously develop biliterate and bicultural skills. More than half of the students in our school come from low-income families, but they are nevertheless motivated to discover and explore! I hope to promote our classroom culture by providing my students with the tools to learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
My 5th graders are exceptional students who inspire me every day to give them all that I can!
My Project
Chromebooks are used on a daily basis in my classroom. Whether we are researching for our latest ecosystem unit, playing educational learning and review games to enhance math, reading, and writing skills, or taking assessments to monitor our growth, my students are technology gurus, always ready to take on the next online opportunity.
Our Chromebooks need a secure place to sleep so they are recharged and energized alongside my students for the new day.
Until I have a Chrome Home that can hold 30 computers, I will not be able to buy a full classroom set of Chromebooks so that all of my students can have access to incredible online resources.
