A Chill Zone for Teens with Special Needs

Help me give my students the necessary items to help them calm down and enjoy our "Chill Zone" room. Noise-canceling ear muffs, a big soft bean bag chair, a soft blue rug, and LED lights are a must.

My Project

This year our classroom got an additional space for our "Chill Zone" room! I teach 7th and 8th graders with special needs in a low-income area of Salt Lake County. I love my students and many of them have difficult home lives. My students need a room where they can relax and decompress.

Having a "Chill" room will help my students know that there is a safe place where they can relax and not worry.

A soft bean bag chair, a soft rug, noise-canceling ear muffs, and some nice blue LED lighting will help them relax.

Positive posters and books on how to teach social-emotional learning will help me and our classroom to be a safe and happy place to learn. Your donation will a long way in helping growing teens who need a place to relax and feel comfortable.
