Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever walked into a classroom and feel that fun energy? I guarantee that if you walked into our classroom you would immediately begin to smile and feel the energy. You will see 12 boys and 10 girls eager to learn. All 22 of them are in their 6th grade journey together. They are learning to understand that the world can be a better place if we all just help and respect one another. They love to work with each other instead of individually, which you will find the classroom a bit louder than others. I guarantee you learning is taking place just in a higher volume. Welcome to our room we're we are one team created by 22 students and one teacher.
My Project
A book is a gift that can be opened again and again. Reading is something I strongly encourage my students to do. They are learning to love and finish longer chapter books. Since we have limited resources students are waiting for other students to finish the longer chapter books. Please help us have multiple version of the favorite series. We all know reading is key to knowledge.
Reading allows students to GROW IN ALL ACADEMICS levels.
Students read daily when entering the classroom to transition into what is the next subject in class and are required to read 35 minutes a night.
