I teach the most amazing and unique second graders around! My classroom is very diverse, including English language learners, special education students, and students receiving speech, language, or behavioral support. What unites us as a community is that each child comes to school with a deep desire to create, solve problems, and learn. This project is for student rewards.
Rewards boost self-esteem, encourage positive behaviors and completed assignments.
As the year is winding down, it is very important for students to remain motivated. Using a reward system has had a very positive effect with this group, so I want to continue to reward their hard work and appropriate behaviors. I will do this with fun items like fidget robots, shimmery markers, DIY bracelet kits, cool pencil toppers and a light-up art maker.
Rewarding their hard work will help keep my students motivated to continue reaching the goals we set for them. Thank you for your consideration and all donations are appreciated!
