Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a fun, curious, and exciting group of learners. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. I want to create an inclusive, fun, and powerful learning environment for all of my students.

As a first-year teacher and my students' first year of Elementary School, I want to make sure the year is off to the right start.

For some of my students, this is their first experience in a school, and my job is to help them fall in love!

My Project

I want to provide my student with a comfortable and welcoming classroom environment. With a classroom carpet, I can ensure that my students feel comfortable while learning. Students will be spending ample amount of time on the carpet learning, reading, listening, and participating- every single day!

The carpet will be the center of the classroom, space where the class community will be created.

By having a new carpet in our room, I can ensure that my students feel excited and ready to learn. Students will be spending time on the carpet on a daily basis during morning meeting, math lessons, read aloud, inquiry-based projects, and several other times throughout the day.
