Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All high schoolers at MHS who take visual arts are required to create an art portfolio their senior year, an accumulation and presentation of their art journey throughout their 4 years. With a professional camera, students will not only be able to document their work, but will also gain a sense of accomplishment. We hope to build student's self-esteem and improve their mental health by having students create artwork that connect to their identity and interests.
With a professional camera, my students will be able to take a photo of these pieces and upload them for their arts portfolio which will only allow them to take more pride in the artwork they have created.
