This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students of diverse learning, enjoy having a designated area to take a break and calm their emotions when they need it. The calming corner will give them a space to take a moment, take some deep breaths and feel better before joining the rest of the class. By including the folding mat and the weighted blanket in this area of the classroom, my students will have a safe and calming space.
When the students are calm and relaxed they engage better in the various learning opportunities throughout the school day.
