I would like to set up a calming corner for my students. A spot they can get comfy and destress from the pressure they feel daily in their classrooms and that they carry with them from home. The carpet will provide a base for them to choose a calming activity to sit on the floor. The bean bag chairs will provide alternative seating for the students to choose from to either utilize calming activities or just to sit and read a book on emotions. These materials seem trivial but can really serve as a base to build on for a successful Calming Corner.
