This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students are happy to come into my classroom. We work hard and some students get frustrated when they need help or things don't come easy to them. I want to instill a love for learning in each student. I would love to create a comfortable calming area to help students build their self-management skills by engaging in positive mindful activities. I am items such as mirrors, flexible seating, and sensory toys to build my student's social-emotional learning.
The calming area will help my students feel safe, supported, and valued.
These items will provide my students with valuable tools to help them succeed emotionally and academically.
