Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Children have bad days too. Just like adults, children have to know when to walk away from certain situations to calm down. Students come to the Counseling Office to not only talk about their problems, but to also be in a quiet and peaceful place. The classroom has so many students, that some students sometimes need a break from being around others. These items will be used to help students have the tools needed to calm down and focus so that they can return back to class and do their very best! These items will allow students to calm down by writing or drawing about their feelings. The fidget toys will help to relieve anxiety, or students will have the optio to use the tablet to view Social Emotional Learning activities to help calm down.
